We live like nomads here, but if we want to endure, we must ensure that everyone remains safe and protected. To let the flowers of discussion grow and enjoy the fruits of our labor, we have to tend the garden and ensure we make it both beautiful and resilient.

Please make sure to abide by the following rules:

§1 Community Comments

On every article post, there will be a comments section posted (unless deliberatly disabled). This section is hosted by GitHub discussions and served by giscus - please follow GitHubs TOS, but also sjapanwala.com's TOS.

• §1.1 Be respectful. Disagreement is welcome; personal attacks, harassment, or demeaning language are not.
• §1.2 Engage in good faith. Comment to contribute, not to provoke or derail discussion.
• §1.3 No hate or discrimination. Content promoting hate, violence, or discrimination will be removed.
• §1.4 Stay on topic. Spam, promotions, or irrelevant comments are not permitted.
• §1.5 No misinformation. Deliberately spreading false or harmful information is prohibited.
• §1.6 Respect privacy. Do not share personal or identifying information without consent.
• §1.7 Mind your language. Excessive profanity or explicit content may be moderated.
• §1.8 Moderator discretion. Comments may be removed to preserve a safe and constructive space.
• 1.9 Accountability. Repeated violations may result in removal or banning.

Violation of these rules will be taken into account of previous offenses. First strike will result in comment deletion, email warning. Second strike will result in a commenting ban, alongside email notification. However, these rules are not standard to Substack.
